Seasonal Dried Wreath
Each dried wreath is handcrafted in East Lothian, inspired by the natural palettes and textures of the surrounding landscape. I select and preserve flowers, grasses, seed heads, and foliage at peak beauty to create lasting arrangements that age gracefully while retaining structure, color, and tactile interest.
Materials and Composition
Seasonal botanicals: A rotating selection that may include hydrangea, statice, helichrysum (strawflower), globe amaranth, lavender, bunny tails (lagurus), oat stems, millet, phalaris, nigella (love-in-a-mist) seed heads, poppy heads, and dried roses.
Foliage and texture: Preserved eucalyptus, olive, dried ferns, ruscus, heather, and bleached branches to add shape and contrast.
Supporting base: Natural grapevine or willow wreath forms in various diameters. For a lighter, airier look I use thinner willow; for a bolder, structured silhouette I use a tight grapevine base.
Fixing method: Stems are wired and secured with low-profile binding twine or wire so that attachments are discreet yet durable. Finishing elements are glued where necessary for extra security.
Natural finishing: No synthetic sprays or glossy coatings—colors are preserved using traditional drying and gentle preservation techniques to maintain a natural, matte
